iNovex Conducts STEM Internships
iNovex conducted a High School Work Study program for the 2013 summer period. iNovex IR&D personnel led a group of intern students through an eight-week curriculum focused on Java development, data center development, deployment and sustainment. Members of the Center of Applied Technology North, these students learned valuable skills they will take back to the classroom along with the experience and exposure to working in an industry setting with relevant technologies that will help them as they enter college or the workforce. As a result of our participation in this program and our drive toward expanding our brand in the Anne Arundel County Technology Community, iNovex set the bar for the High School-level internship programs. Our own Robert Harrison was recently invited to speak on behalf of iNovex at the AACO Public Schools Internship program. iNovex is now a prominent leader in this county-wide program, with greater access to a pool of talented Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) students at multiple schools. We are working to offer High School and College level credit as part of our intern participants in the coming months. For more information visit the Anne Arundel Public Schools website.
